News: Accident closes WIS-47 in both directions near north Appleton

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — Authorities responded to a collision Tuesday evening that closed a section of Wisconsin State Highway 47 near north Appleton, according to 511 Wisconsin.

The crash happened at the intersection with Mackville Road, in the Mackville area. It was first recorded by 511 at 8:05 p.m.

No information regarding the cause of the crash has been provided, but both northbound and southbound lanes of WIS-47 were closed for nearly 50 minutes.

At 8:54 p.m., the accident had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Local agencies have not indicated any injuries in connection to the event.
