MILWAUKEE, WI — One person was hospitalized Thursday morning after a crash caused by gunfire in Milwaukee’s Walnut Hill neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
The incident took place near North 33rd Street and West Lisbon Avenue at about 3:30 a.m.
Milwaukee Police said the victim, 41, was driving when gunfire broke out and they were hit. Moments later, their car collided with a fence.
First responders rushed the victim to an area hospital for life-threatening injuries. No updates on the patient’s condition have been released.
No information has been shared regarding the circumstances of the shooting, but officers are searching for unknown suspects.
