KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — Flight For Life was called early Sunday for a driver whose car rear-ended a bus on Interstate 41/94 near northwest Kenosha, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.

The collision took place on the southbound interstate approaching County Highway E, just southwest of Sturtevant, shortly after 3:00 a.m.

Details are limited, but Kenosha County sheriff’s deputies learned that the a Dodge Charger struck the back of the bus.

The driver of the Dodge, who was found unconscious but breathing in their seat, was flown to an area hospital for unspecified injuries.

Neither the bus driver nor the 14 passengers aboard were reported hurt, but passengers were forced to exit the bus due to a resulting diesel leak. The stranded passengers were later shuttled by a Kenosha city bus to a nearby location.

A span of southbound I-41/94 was shut down for an extended time during the response, but reopened at about 8:15 a.m.
